Writing

This page will serve as a central archive for things I’ve written.

Gods & Radicals

I’ve been involved with GodsAndRadicals.org since its inception, and it is probably the one place online I’m most excited about these days. It has some of the best writing on the web right now, and I can say that because most of the writing there isn’t mine. You can get the RSS Feed, or if you prefer you can just see my entries there, though if I may say so you would be foolish to only look at my stuff there.

A Sense Of Place

I began a biweekly column on A Sense of Place, on the Pagan channel of Patheos, at the end of 2014. You can get the RSS Feed for the blog, or if you prefer the RSS Feed for just my entries.

The Virtual Enclosures: Revolution and Counter-Revolution in the Information Age

This might be my best known piece of writing, even though it is 10 years old now, published in The Commoner Issue #9. A PDF of the article is also available. An abridged version of this article was also translated into Italian and published, but I don’t know if it’s available online.

A Barnraising In Cyberspace: Linux And The Free Software Movement

This is my first-ever published piece. It was published in the now-defunct The Maine Scholar in 2000, when I was a student at the University of Southern Maine. It was written when I first became infatuated with Linux, and the broader social potential of the Free Software movement. A lot has changed in the 15 years since it was written, but this piece still stands up remarkably well, if I do say so myself.
